Contact KWIP
Email [email protected] with “Kwip Contacts” in the subject. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, the action you selected, and the exact message shown in the app. Do not include a private card, QR code, backup, phone number, email address, payment handle, or contact export unless support explicitly asks and you choose to share it.
Create your first card
- Open Kwip Contacts and choose Create your first card.
- Name the card for its context, such as Work or Social.
- Add only the fields you want that recipient to receive.
- Choose a built-in symbol and palette, then tap Save.
Two complete cards are free. You can edit, share, export, and delete them without purchasing Unlimited Cards.
Share by QR
Open a card and tap Share. Keep the QR visible while the other person scans it. The screen may temporarily increase brightness for readability and restores the previous brightness when you leave.
If the recipient does not have Kwip Contacts, the Apple App Clip can preview the card before offering the full app. If App Clip routing is unavailable, open More → Offline contact QR to show a standard vCard that works without the app or internet.
Exchange with another nearby iPhone
Both people should open Kwip Contacts to the Exchange screen and keep QR visible as the fallback. Confirm that both phones display the same four-digit code, then approve the exchange on both devices. If discovery stalls, move away from crowded networks, keep both apps in the foreground, and use QR instead.
Find cards shared with you
Received snapshots appear under Shared with you in Card Deck. Open one to use its phone number, email, website, social link, or payment handle. Use its menu to remove it from local history.
Contacts permission
Fill from Contacts opens Apple’s picker so you can select one contact. Save to Contacts opens Apple’s editor so you can review before saving. If permission was denied, open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts and review access for Kwip Contacts.
Camera and Local Network permissions
Camera access is needed only for Scan their card. Local Network access is needed only for nearby exchange. Review either permission in the iPhone Settings app if scanning or discovery does not begin. QR display, standard system sharing, and existing cards remain available when nearby exchange is unavailable.
Quick Share, Controls, Siri, and Shortcuts
In Kwip Contacts Settings, choose a Quick Share card. You can then add the Kwip Contacts control to Control Center or the Lock Screen, assign it through the Action button’s Controls option, or use the Share My Kwip Contacts Card shortcut with Siri and Shortcuts.
Unlimited Cards purchase and restore
Unlimited Cards is a $7.99 non-consumable purchase, not a subscription. Apple processes billing and Family Sharing. Open Settings → Unlock to purchase or choose Restore purchase after signing into the Apple Account that owns the purchase.
If an entitlement is temporarily unavailable, existing cards remain editable and shareable. Only creating cards beyond the free limit pauses.
Back up, import, or delete local data
Open Settings → Your data to export a deck backup or import one you previously created. Import replaces the current local deck after validation, so export the current deck first if you may need it later.
Delete all local data removes your cards and received history from Kwip Contacts. It cannot revoke snapshots already shared or remove contacts already saved in Apple Contacts. Read the complete privacy policy.
