Email [email protected] with “Laissez” in the subject. Include your iPad or iPhone model, iOS or iPadOS version, Laissez version, and the exact message shown. Avoid including private Calendar event or Reminder text in screenshots unless it is necessary and you choose to share it.
Reveal the controls
Tap once anywhere on the ambient background. Night Mode and the Laissez controls button appear in the top-right corner, then hide again after a few seconds. Open Laissez controls to change the appearance, dim the display, configure automatic Night Mode, or revisit your data sources.
Add Weather, Calendar, or Reminders
Open Laissez controls, then Setup. Enable Weather, Calendar, and Reminders separately. Each source is optional and requests permission on its own. If access was previously declined, open Apple Settings, find Laissez, and enable the relevant permission there.
If weather is not updating
Confirm Local weather and Location permission are enabled. Laissez is designed to refresh a compact Apple Weather forecast about every three hours while its display is active and the device is charging, then keep the last successful result available during a temporary network failure. Weather refresh work pauses when paid access has expired, Low Power Mode or thermal conditions require less work, or the app is not active.
Calendar and Reminders
Laissez shows upcoming Apple Calendar events and up to a few incomplete Apple Reminders. Tap a reminder circle to mark it complete. That completion is written to Apple Reminders and synchronizes according to your Apple account settings. Laissez never edits Calendar events.
Keep the display awake
Enable Stay awake while charging in Laissez controls. The screen remains awake only while Laissez is active and the iPad or iPhone reports that it is charging or full. Unplugging, backgrounding, or locking the device returns screen behavior to normal.
Night Mode, motion, and power
Night Mode darkens the display and stops ambient motion. Reduce Motion, Low Power Mode, or serious thermal pressure also freezes animated appearances into intentional still fields. This is expected behavior and protects comfort, power use, and the device.
Lifetime purchase and restore
The Quiet clock remains free after the seven-day preview. The one-time Laissez Lifetime purchase unlocks Apple Weather, Calendar, Reminders, Aurora, Coast, Sunset, Ember, and future Laissez features in this app. Use Restore Purchase after signing into the Apple Account that made the purchase. Payment, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple.
