The planned App Intent flow prioritizes a brief voice interaction and confirmation. No tags, folders, or follow-up questions while attention belongs elsewhere.

Car Thoughts is being designed as a Siri-first thought inbox: capture an idea with your voice, trust that the original is saved, and return to a useful transcript and structure later.
The driving moment should ask for almost nothing. Car Thoughts is built around preserving the source locally before optional on-device transcription and organization begin.
The planned App Intent flow prioritizes a brief voice interaction and confirmation. No tags, folders, or follow-up questions while attention belongs elsewhere.
Each capture is intended to become a durable local thought before optional processing begins, so later processing cannot erase the source.
The iPhone inbox is planned to bring together the recording, transcript, title, summary, key points, and actions for editing and organization after the drive.
Car Thoughts is not being presented as finished software. These are the current product goals and limits guiding development.
Car Thoughts is planned without an app account, hosted processing service, or cross-device synchronization. Recording, storage, transcription, organization, inbox access, playback, and retrieval remain on the device; thought content is not uploaded to KWIP.
Apple Speech provides on-device transcription when the selected language and downloaded assets are supported. Apple Intelligence can optionally create a summary and key points on eligible devices. It is not required: on an iPhone without Apple Intelligence, transcription, fallback titles, manual summaries, search, playback, export, and deletion continue to work.
Audio and transcript text are treated as restricted user content. They are not used for analytics or logs, and generated fields never replace the original recording or canonical transcript. Read the complete privacy policy or visit support.
Attention comes first. Car Thoughts is intended to reduce interaction, not make every driving moment appropriate for capture. Follow local law and roadway conditions; if the moment demands attention, do not use the app.
A dedicated CarPlay experience is not part of the first release. KWIP may pursue it later only if the product fits Apple’s eligible categories, Apple grants the required entitlement, and physical testing supports an appropriately limited interaction.
